In the Islamic tradition, a house in a dream is most often read as a picture of you: your inner state, your family, sometimes your body. A spacious or new house is usually read gently, and a ruined one as strain or worry. The Qur'an calls our homes a place of rest, and that is a good place to begin.

And Allah has made for you from your homes a place of rest and made for you from the hides of the animals tents which you find light on your day of travel and your day of encampment; and from their wool, fur and hair is furnishing and enjoyment for a time.

The Qur'an names the home as a gift of rest from Allah. Whatever state the house was in, the dream can turn you back to what a home is meant to be.
Houses in dreams often hold the people we love, or the person we were in a certain season. Before you look for meanings, notice which room you were in and who was there with you. Sometimes the heart is simply homesick. If someone from that house came to mind, a call or a dua might be the kindest reply. Who did you think of first when you woke?
A house dream is rarely about the building. If yours was warm and bright, thank Allah for it. If it was falling apart, it is not a warning that your home or family will be harmed. Seek refuge in Allah and let it go, then ask yourself, kindly, what in you or around you needs a little gentleness.
Thank Allah for it. If you tell it, tell someone who loves you or someone with sound judgment.

A new or bigger house is widely read in the tradition as ease, a widening in life or a fresh chapter. It is one of the gentler house readings. Enjoy the calm it left you with and thank Allah for it, without treating it as a promise of a move or a purchase.
The tradition does not give this one fixed reading. Many people dream of an old home when they miss someone, or a simpler time. It may well be a dream from your own mind, one of the three kinds the Prophet ﷺ described (Sahih Muslim 2263). Let it bring you to dua for the people you remember.
It is unsettling, but it is not an omen. Some interpreters read a ruined or collapsing house as strain or worry in the self or the family, a state rather than an event. If it frightened you, seek refuge in Allah, turn onto your other side and tell no one, and it will not harm you (Sahih Muslim 2261 and 2262).
