He drank milk until he saw its wetness at his nails, gave the rest to ‘Umar, and was asked what it meant.
His answer: “knowledge.”

Search what you saw. Each entry gives what the Qur’an and the Prophet ﷺ said where they speak to it, what the classical tradition reads into it, and what to do when you wake. Heritage, never prophecy.
Not every dream has an entry, and not every dream needs one. You can check which of the three kinds it was below, or tell Layla the whole dream in Hush. She listens, and she will never read your future.
The Prophet ﷺ said dreams are of three kinds: a good dream that is glad tidings from Allah, a distressing dream from Shaytan, and a dream from your own mind (Sahih Muslim 2263). Two questions, and you will know what the sunnah asks of you.
This follows the three kinds of dreams in the hadith. It does not interpret your dream, and nothing is stored.
These are the surest dream meanings in Islam, because they come from the Prophet ﷺ, recorded in the two Sahih collections. They were his dreams and his interpretations, not a code for ours, but they show how a dream speaks: in images that point beyond themselves.

In Hush you can tell Layla the whole dream, any hour of the night. She listens, reminds you what the sunnah says, and helps your heart settle. Never a fortune.
Download Hush free What Islam says about dreamsNot in the sense of a fixed list. The surest interpretations are the few the Prophet ﷺ gave himself, recorded in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. The popular dream book attributed to Ibn Sirin was compiled after his time and the attribution is questioned. This dictionary keeps the two apart and treats the classical readings as heritage, not certainty.
The Prophet ﷺ called a good dream of a righteous person one of forty-six parts of prophethood (Sahih al-Bukhari 6983), but that does not turn ordinary dreams into forecasts. Only Allah knows the unseen (Qur’an 27:65). Nobody should make a decision, suspect a person, or carry fear because of a dream.
A good dream may be told to someone who loves you or someone with sound judgment (Sunan Abi Dawud 5020). A dream that frightened you should not be told to anyone: seek refuge in Allah, spit lightly to your left three times and turn over, and it will not harm you (Sahih al-Bukhari 6985, Sahih Muslim 2261).
A good dream, which is glad tidings from Allah; a distressing dream, which is from Shaytan; and a dream that comes from your own mind and your day (Sahih Muslim 2263). Only the first is worth reflecting on, and even then with humility.
One verse, one reflection and the Islamic dates of the week, every Friday morning. Nothing else, and you can leave any time.
