The Prophet ๏ทบ called it "the greatest surah in the Qur'an" (Sahih al-Bukhari 4474). In a hadith qudsi, Allah says the prayer is "divided between Me and My servant" โ each verse of al-Fatiha answered line by line (Sahih Muslim 395). A companion even treated a scorpion sting by reciting it, and the Prophet ๏ทบ approved (Sahih al-Bukhari 5736).
A practising Muslim recites it at least seventeen times a day โ it is the most repeated text in human history.
๏ปฟุจูุณูู ู ูฑูููููู ูฑูุฑููุญูู ููฐูู ูฑูุฑููุญููู ู
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
ูฑููุญูู ูุฏู ููููููู ุฑูุจูู ูฑููุนููฐููู ูููู
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds -
ูฑูุฑููุญูู ููฐูู ูฑูุฑููุญููู ู
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
ู ููฐูููู ููููู ู ูฑูุฏููููู
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
ุฅููููุงูู ููุนูุจูุฏู ููุฅููููุงูู ููุณูุชูุนูููู
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
ูฑููุฏูููุง ูฑูุตููุฑููฐุทู ูฑููู ูุณูุชููููู ู
Guide us to the straight path -
ุตูุฑููฐุทู ูฑูููุฐูููู ุฃูููุนูู ูุชู ุนูููููููู ู ุบูููุฑู ูฑููู ูุบูุถููุจู ุนูููููููู ู ููููุง ูฑูุถููุงููููููู
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

7. Siraatal-lazeena an'amta 'alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi 'alaihim wa lad-daaalleen
